Rehabilitation Of Pipework And Structures

Oceania has had experience of reinforcing and rehabilitating structures since 1995 in the UK North Sea offshore environment.

Pipe repair is available in many forms from hardware store bandages to bespoke on site laminated repairs. Each has a unique benefit from short term corrosion mitigation to full structural restoration.

More recently Oceania has developed design methodologies for a large multinational client to apply composite repairs to major pressure equipment in Europe and Australasia.

Oceania is uniquely positioned to design permanent repairs to restore structural capacity and to extend the working life and service performance of pressure pipes and vessels.

Utilising tried and tested design techniques Oceania can develop repairs to corroded and damaged pipework of various materials and working temperatures.

Structural composite repair techniques require the use of skilled operators and application procedures and should not be confused with temporary bandages.

Structural repairs are design to resist both the line pressure and applied bending moments and shear forces. Whilst most techniques can reinforce pipes in the hoop direction this is normally on the condition that the pipe is intact and only suffers from external corrosion or limited internal corrosion. Oceania repair specifications can be used for leaking pipes and provide ongoing protection for pipes against advancing internal corrosion where total wall errosion is predicted.
